Biscuit the Beagle and a Calf Agreed to Share One Water Bowl
Two thirsty friends have found one steel bowl, and neither wants to wait their turn. A lemon and white Beagle bends his head to the water with his long ears hanging, and a brown and white calf leans in from the other side, her pink nose almost touching the surface. The ground around them is damp and speckled with leaves, and a blue bin and flower pots sit by the wall behind them. The Beagle is Biscuit and the calf is Maple.
Fresh water is one of the most important parts of pet care. Dogs need constant access to clean water, and their bowls should be washed regularly to prevent bacteria from building up. Steel and ceramic bowls are generally easier to keep clean than plastic. Beagles love to eat and drink, and they can gulp quickly, so watch for any unusual thirst, which is worth mentioning to your vet. Cattle, too, drink a lot each day, and clean, fresh water helps keep them healthy.
If you have more than one pet, make sure there are enough bowls to go around so nobody feels they have to compete. Animals that share space may also share germs, so keep up with vaccines and routine health checks. Place bowls in a calm spot away from busy walkways.
Biscuit and Maple seem to have an understanding about sharing. It is a small moment, and a very friendly one.
