The Husky Took the Tractor Seat, and a Small Horse Squeezed In Beside Her
The tractor seat is a tight fit, but a black and white Siberian Husky and a small chestnut horse have made it work. The Husky sits tall with her ears erect and her pale blue eyes turned to the side, and the little horse stands close beside her with a fluffy mane and a calm, curious face. Jackets hang from hooks and baskets line the shelves of the workshop behind them. The Husky is Aspen and the horse is Copper. The seat looks well worn, and a few tools hang quietly on the wall.
Siberian Huskies are athletic, outgoing dogs bred to pull sleds over long distances. They love to run and need lots of daily exercise, and they are known for howling and escaping fences, so secure yards matter. Their thick double coats keep them warm in cold weather, but they can overheat in summer, and need shade and cool water.
Workshops and garages hold many hazards for pets, including tools, chemicals, antifreeze, and sharp edges. Antifreeze is especially dangerous because it smells sweet, and even a small amount can be toxic. Store these items out of reach, clean up spills right away, and keep your pets supervised around machinery.
Aspen looks proud in the driver's seat, and Copper is happy to be her passenger. Their garage adventure is a calm one. It is a small moment in a big workshop.
