A Pale Bengal Kitten Tiptoed Through the Harvest Display
Pale cream fur is marked with soft tan rosettes, and a pair of bright blue eyes look off to the side. A snow Bengal kitten sits on the porch boards amid a harvest display of dried corn stalks, bumpy green and white gourds, and a bright orange pumpkin. Her ears are pink inside, her tail is striped, and one paw is lifted a little as if she is about to investigate. A white railing and an autumn yard fade softly in the background. The afternoon is calm, and the whole porch feels like a tiny harvest festival.
Snow Bengals are a lighter variation of the Bengal breed, with pale coats and often blue eyes in the lynx or mink variety. Like other Bengals, kittens are energetic, clever, and fond of climbing and exploring, so they need lots of toys and attention. A harvest display is full of tempting things, but dried corn stalks, husks, and straw can be chewed and swallowed, and some decorative gourds may upset a stomach if eaten. Keep your kitten from nibbling on decorations, and give her a safe plaything such as a ball or feather wand instead.
We could call her Dune, since the sand-pale coat looks like a sunny afternoon. She tiptoes among the gourds like an explorer on a new continent. Every husk rustles, every shadow moves, and she loves it.
