A Tiny Chihuahua Claimed the Window Seat Beside the Frosted Wreath
Small, neat, and sitting very straight, a cream Chihuahua perches on a windowsill and looks to the left. Her ears are large and upright, and her eyes are dark and bright. Behind her, the glass is frosted with delicate crystal patterns, and a wreath of greenery and pinecones hangs in the center. A folded blanket and a cushion rest on the sill beside her.
Chihuahuas are the smallest dog breed, and they are famous for having lots of personality packed into a tiny body. They tend to be loyal to one or two favorite people and can be cautious around strangers. Because they are so small and have little body fat, they get cold easily, so a warm blanket or a sweater is a good idea in winter. Keep them away from drafty windows for long stretches. Their small mouths also need regular dental care, so ask your vet about toothbrushing and checkups. Gentle socialization helps a Chihuahua feel safe around visitors.
For now, she has found the best sunny spot in the house, and she looks very much in charge of it. The frosty glass and green wreath make a perfect frame for her cream-colored coat. It is the kind of calm winter portrait that makes the room feel warmer. Every few moments her ears swivel toward some small sound in the house, then settle back, and the frost on the glass keeps growing in its slow, lacy patterns.
