A Goldendoodle Puppy Kept a Close Watch on the Marshmallow Mug
Her fur is the color of buttercream, her ears are soft and floppy, and a Goldendoodle puppy sits at the edge of a wooden coffee table gazing off to the left. Right in front of her is a white mug filled with cocoa and tiny marshmallows, and a few more marshmallows have spilled on the table. A cozy sofa with blankets, a basket, and some pine sprigs make up the warm living room behind her.
Cocoa is not a treat for dogs. Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to them, and marshmallows are loaded with sugar, with some sweeteners such as xylitol being dangerous. Keep mugs away from the edge of tables and sofas, and wipe up spills quickly. If a puppy laps up cocoa, call your vet or an animal poison hotline. Goldendoodles are often cheerful, friendly, and smart, and their curly coat needs regular brushing. A puppy-safe chew and a quiet cuddle are a better way to enjoy a cozy winter evening.
She looks sweet and innocent, and she is probably just enjoying the smell. The mug is steaming, the room is warm, and everyone is relaxed. If she has any plans, she is keeping them well hidden behind those soft, honest eyes. A paw twitches toward the table once, then thinks better of it, and she settles back on her haunches to wait for a snack of her own.
