A Bumblebee With Giant Ears Buzzed Through the Fallen Leaves
A cream Devon Rex cat sits among crunchy brown and orange leaves wearing a fuzzy black-and-yellow bumblebee costume. Two yellow pompom antennae bob on top of her head, tiny felt wings are stitched on her back, and her enormous ears rise right beside them. She gazes off to the side with amber eyes, and a carved pumpkin and a water bottle sit nearby in the leaf-covered yard.
Devon Rex cats are known for their pixie-like faces, wavy coats, and fun-loving personalities, and many will tolerate a short dress-up if they trust their people. A bumblebee outfit should still follow safety rules. Antennae, wings, and any dangling pieces can be chewed off and swallowed, so check for loose parts. The costume should not tighten around the neck or chest, and she should be able to see, hear, and walk normally. Because Devon Rex coats are thin, a soft costume can feel comfortable, but she should not overheat. Take it off after a few minutes, and give her a treat as a reward. If she hides or freezes, she may have had enough, so let her relax.
A busy bee surrounded by leaves is a cheerful picture, and the colors suit her cream coat.
This bee is not collecting nectar today, only compliments. A leaf lands on one antenna, and she lets it stay there, a very patient bee in the middle of her own small autumn.
