The Chip Bag Burst Open, and a Ginger Cat Sat Right in the Middle
Potato chips are everywhere. They have spilled from a crinkled foil bag across the counter in golden waves, and in the middle of the feast sits a fluffy ginger cat with huge green eyes and one front paw placed carefully beside the pile. His chest fur glows in the sun, and behind him a cluttered kitchen shows a water bottle, glasses, a basket of laundry, and a plant on the windowsill. He looks like he is in the middle of a very serious negotiation.
Orange cats are often described as outgoing and food-motivated, and many people swear that ginger cats are the friendliest of all. Whatever the cause, plenty of cats love to investigate salty snacks. But chips are not a good snack for cats, because they are very salty and oily, and flavors like onion and garlic powder can be harmful to them. If a cat eats a large number of salty chips, it can lead to thirst and an upset stomach, so make sure he has fresh water and call your vet if he seems unwell. Keep snack bags clipped shut and in a cupboard. If your cat loves a crunch, ask your vet about crunchy dental treats that are made for cats, and try a food puzzle to keep him busy.
Whatever the verdict, he looks very content with the new arrangement. The broom is on its way, but the ginger gentleman is not moving yet.
