A Devon Rex Built a Cozy Nest Out of Brown Wrapping Paper

AI imagedevon rexwrapping paperliving room

A cream Devon Rex with giant ears and big golden eyes sits in the middle of a nest of crumpled brown wrapping paper, her short, wavy coat giving her an elfin look. Her ears are pulled back slightly, and her mouth is tucked into a small, uneasy frown. A large paper roll rests beside her, and a gray sofa, a basket of clothes, and a plant stand in the background.

Devon Rex cats are playful, clever, and extremely people-oriented, often compared to a monkey or a pixie because they love to climb on shoulders. Their short, wavy coats give them a unique look and they like warm spots. Rustling paper has a special charm for cats, and a big roll is like an irresistible tent. Ribbons, tape, and string are risky if swallowed, so keep them away from cats and call your vet if one is eaten. A paper bag with the handles cut off is a safe indoor hideout.

We will call her Pixie. She seems to realize that something has happened, but she cannot work out what, and she is happy to sit in the paper and think about it. Her ears perk with every little crackle. Eventually, the paper will be gathered, but for now the nest is perfect, and the wrapping has never looked so fashionable.
