A Silver Weimaraner Sat Down in a Carpet of Crushed Tulips
Red and pink tulip petals cover the floor like a carpet, and a silver-grey Weimaraner named Ash sits in the middle of them, looking up with soft amber eyes. His long ears fall gracefully on either side of his sleek head, and a few petals cling to his paws. A lamp, a desk and a pair of slippers stand in the background, as if the flowers had once made a beautiful bouquet there.
Weimaraners are elegant, athletic dogs with a smooth silver coat and very bright eyes. They are loyal and love being close to their families, and they are usually full of energy. A Weimaraner who does not get enough exercise may find ways to entertain himself indoors, like exploring a vase of flowers with his nose and mouth. Long runs, fetch and training games are a good outlet, and a quiet chew toy helps when the house is calm.
Flowers can be risky for pets. Tulips and some other spring blooms can irritate a dog's mouth and stomach, and lilies are very dangerous for cats. Place bouquets out of reach, and if your pet chews on flowers, call your vet or a pet poison hotline. Offering a long walk and a good chew toy can help prevent boredom.
Ash looks gentle and innocent in his sea of petals, a tall grey gentleman among the flowers. The bouquet may be ruined, but the portrait is lovely.
