The Dalmatian Queen Mother Has Seen It All and Approves of Most
There is real grace in the calm gaze of this Dalmatian queen mother. Her white face is dotted with black spots, her dark eyes look out kindly, and a delicate black lace veil drapes over her head and shoulders. Below it, a string of pearls lies against a pink brocade gown woven with gold leaves, with a golden shell brooch at the chest and soft ruffles of lace at the cuffs. The pale pink background with golden curls makes the black lace stand out like fine ink.
Dalmatians are athletic, intelligent dogs famous for their spots and for once running alongside carriages. That heritage means they have plenty of stamina, so daily exercise such as running, hiking or long games of fetch keeps them happy. They can be energetic and sensitive, so patient, consistent training works best. Dalmatian puppies are born white, and their spots appear as they grow. Like all dogs, they should always have access to water and shade, and a vet can advise about breed-specific health concerns such as hearing and diet.
The queen mother looks wise and gently amused, as if she has seen generations of puppies grow up and approved of most of them. If you listen closely, you might imagine the soft rustle of silk and the click of a few polite paws on the palace floor.
