The Chocolate Lab Lord Spun the Globe and Looked Homeward
The lord has warm brown eyes, a shiny chocolate coat, and a face that looks as though he is deciding whether to forgive someone for eating his slipper. He wears a navy velvet coat covered in gold braid, with a thick brown fur collar draped over his shoulders and a lacy white cravat at his neck. An antique globe glows gold beside him, and a lit candle on a brass holder casts a warm light across the dark room. His ears fall softly on either side of a calm, thoughtful face.
Labrador Retrievers are friendly, outgoing dogs, and they have been among the most popular family pets for many years. They were bred to retrieve game, so most love water, fetch, and carrying things in their mouths. Labs need daily exercise and mental games, and they are happiest when they have a job to do. They are also famous for loving food, so measured meals and healthy treats help keep them lean, which protects their joints. A bored Lab may chew, so sturdy toys are useful. Your vet can guide you on diet, exercise, and regular checkups for your own dog.
The lord seems to be planning a grand trip around the world. We suspect it will end where it began, by the food bowl. A well-traveled Lab always returns home for dinner.
