The Snow Bengal Countess Was Quite Calm. Until Midnight.
Her coat is the color of cream and faint caramel, with soft spots that appear and fade in the candlelight. The snow Bengal wears a gold silk gown with a blue and gold brocade pattern, puffed sleeves with lace cuffs, a ruffle of lace at the neck and long loops of pearls reaching down her chest. Her eyes are a striking pale blue, her nose is rosy pink, and she looks past the viewer with a calm confidence. A candle burns low at the left edge of the canvas.
Bengals are known for their athleticism and wild-looking coats, and the snow varieties have lighter fur and often blue eyes. They tend to be very active, curious and clever, and many love climbing, chasing and even playing in water. A Bengal usually needs more stimulation than the average cat, so tall cat trees, puzzle feeders and interactive play sessions help prevent boredom and furniture trouble. Many can learn tricks or walk on a harness with patience. They also like to be involved in everything, so expect a helper in the kitchen. Because they are so energetic, make sure the home is cat-proofed, and ask your vet about diet and exercise if your cat seems restless or overweight.
The countess may look calm now, but later tonight she will race through the entire manor at full speed.
