The Royal Gardener Brought Roses. The Abyssinian Was Very Proud of Them.
The royal gardener has finished his morning rounds, and the roses are looking spectacular. A cinnamon Abyssinian cat stands with big, upright ears and bright golden-green eyes, his fur a warm reddish-brown with fine ticking. He wears a dark green velvet jacket with a crisp lace collar and a sage apron over the top. In the crook of one arm he cradles a woven basket spilling over with pink and cream roses, a few leaves still clinging to the stems, and his tail is surely swishing just out of view.
Abyssinians are slim, athletic cats that are curious, social, and happiest when they have things to climb and explore. They often love puzzle feeders, tall cat trees, and play sessions with their people. A word of caution for anyone with a garden or a bouquet: many flowers and plants are unsafe for cats, and lilies in particular can be very dangerous, so keep them out of reach and check with your vet or a reliable plant list. Roses themselves are generally considered safe, but thorns and fertilizers can still cause trouble.
The flowers are painted with such soft, glowing petals that you can almost smell them. The gardener, meanwhile, holds his basket with the quiet pride of someone who knows exactly which bush the best blooms came from. It is a gentle, fragrant scene, and it suits him beautifully.
