The Persian General Wore Every Medal and Still Looked Unimpressed
The general's face is round, soft, and entirely unimpressed. A fluffy grey Persian cat glares calmly out with big amber eyes, his thick fur puffing out above a stiff dark collar. Wide gold epaulettes sit on both shoulders of his navy uniform, and a red and gold sash cuts across his chest, where a small cluster of medals shines. Behind him, a salon wall of green and gold damask and a heavy dark curtain give the portrait a dim, formal glow.
Persian cats are gentle, quiet companions that enjoy a calm home. Their luxurious long coat needs daily brushing to prevent painful tangles, and their flat faces mean the eyes may need regular gentle cleaning. They also dislike heat, so a cool room matters in summer. Persians are not big on jumping and climbing, but short play sessions help them stay fit and engaged. Always keep an eye on breathing, eyes, and weight, and talk to your vet about any concerns or changes in routine.
All that gold and all those medals cannot hide the Persian's soft, grumpy-sweet face. This is a general who commands entirely through disapproval, and yet everyone obeys, if only to make him smile. It is hard to say which is more fluffy, the uniform or the ruler, and neither has any intention of being wrinkled by a hug.
