Two Red Dachshund Puppies Became the Prettiest Part of the Bouquet
A wicker basket decorated with pink ranunculus and sprigs of greenery has been taken over by two red Dachshund puppies. The larger one gazes out with soft, curious eyes, with a flower bud at his shoulder, and his brother is curled quietly at his side with his head tucked in. The light is soft and white, giving the whole basket a springtime feel.
Fresh flowers and puppies can be a risky combination, so it is wise to know what is safe. Many popular blooms and greens are toxic to dogs if chewed, including lilies, tulip bulbs, azaleas and daffodils, and even small nibbles of some plants can upset a stomach. If you like to decorate with flowers, choose pet-safe varieties, keep arrangements out of reach, and clear any fallen petals. A puppy may also knock over a vase, so choose sturdy containers. Dachshunds are known for investigating everything with their mouths, and a basket of blooms looks like a gift. If your puppy chews on a plant, call your vet or a pet poison hotline promptly. A clean, soft blanket makes a safer bed than a flower basket.
These two are brothers in comfort, tucked in like a spring bouquet. They are the best part of the arrangement, and the flowers know it. Whoever set the basket on the table probably did not expect such a perfect pair of finishing touches.
