Four Red and White Corgi Puppies Took Over the Picnic Blanket
Warm light spills over a red and white checkered cloth where four red and white puppies sprawl in a happy heap. One pup rests her chin on her paws, another turns her face up with bright eyes, and the others lean against each other with ears flopped in different directions. A couch, a pile of folded clothes, and some small plush toys at the corner of the frame make the living room look comfortable and busy.
Indoor picnics are a fun way to teach a puppy that a blanket means calm time. Spread the cloth, bring a chew toy, and reward her for lying down. Over time, she will connect the blanket with relaxing, and you can carry it to the park, a friend's house, or the vet's waiting room to help her feel at home.
Corgis are cheerful, food-loving dogs, which makes training easy but also means they gain weight quickly. Their long backs and short legs are best kept in good shape with measured meals and few extra treats. If you share a picnic with a puppy, keep human snacks out of reach: grapes, raisins, chocolate, onions, and sweet drinks are not safe for dogs. Ask your vet about the best treats and portions for her age.
For these four, the cloth is soft, the sun is warm, and the picnic is entirely about lounging together.
