This set starts small, one toddler, one tuxedo cat investigating a cardboard box in the hallway, and ends up considerably bigger: by the final clip there are three different cats, tuxedo, grey tabby, and calico, lined up at the kitchen counter for treats at the same time. Somewhere in between, a black Labrador handles most of the licking, tackling, and puppy-pile duties.
The birthday scene is a strong early highlight, the tuxedo cat in a party hat held close by the toddler at an outdoor table, both of them looking mildly overwhelmed by the occasion. It's followed by one of the rowdier moments in the whole collection, the toddler completely swallowed by an entire litter of black Lab puppies in the hallway, laughing too hard to really fight his way out.
The tuxedo cat turns out to be the braver personality of the two, facing down a garden lizard on the back patio without flinching, and later investigating a car seat that's been reduced to a floor of shredded tissue paper, seemingly undisturbed by the mess. A quieter clip has the same cat perched on the arm of the couch holding a staring contest with the black Lab below, neither one backing down first.
By the time the third cat joins the counter lineup, the toddler has stopped counting and started handing out treats to whoever gets there first. The tuxedo cat also gets a brief solo scene leaping from a high kitchen shelf down to a rug below, landing in a stretch that suggests it's done this exact jump a hundred times before. It closes on double duty: an outdoor crib scene with both the Lab and the tuxedo cat lying at the foot of the bed together, and a kiddie pool splash with dog and toddler soaking the yard.
