Frank and Dottie Sat Down for a Quiet Patio Breakfast. Biscuit Had Other Plans.
Frank and Dottie were in the middle of a lovely patio breakfast, laughing at some shared joke, when Biscuit decided the morning needed a closer look. The red and white Corgi has planted himself right in front, big fox ears spread wide, chest fluffed out, and warm brown eyes staring straight into the camera. Behind him, the couple sit side by side in matching cream cable-knit sweaters, Dottie with her silver hair in a loose bun and Frank grinning through his glasses. On the table are a golden croissant, a bowl of strawberries and blueberries, a coffee cup, a glass of water, and a neatly folded napkin.
Welsh Corgis are known for their cheerful, outgoing personalities and their big presence in a small body. Originally bred to herd cattle, they're smart, alert, and often quite vocal, and they usually love being in the center of family life. Their short legs and long backs mean it's wise to discourage frequent jumping off furniture and to keep them at a healthy weight, since extra pounds can strain the spine and joints. Corgis are famously food-motivated, so table scraps can add up quickly. Butter-rich pastries aren't a good choice for them, but a few blueberries are a common dog-friendly treat.
Biscuit clearly believes every meal is better with him front and center. Frank and Dottie don't seem to disagree.
