A Chocolate Poodle and a Piglet Splashed Through the Creek Together
Water sprays in every direction as a chocolate Poodle with curly, dripping fur wades through a shallow creek, and right beside her a small pink piglet splashes along with her snout forward and her legs working. The creek is clear and rocky, the bank is edged with green leaves, and a wooden fence and a house peek out in the background. Both friends look entirely pleased with the cool water, and the whole scene bursts with motion. The sunlight turns each droplet into a tiny bead of gold, and the Poodle's tongue is out in a happy grin.
Poodles are strong, athletic dogs that were originally bred as water retrievers, so many of them take to a splash with delight. A shallow creek is a pleasant place to cool off, but always check the water for strong currents, sharp rocks, and litter first. Pools of still water can hold germs, so offer fresh water to drink and rinse your dog's coat afterward, drying her thoroughly to keep her curls from matting. A vet can tell you more about water safety for your dog.
Penny dashes through the splashes as though it were her favorite game, and the Poodle leads the way with her head high. The summer sun makes the droplets sparkle. This is what a perfect day looks like for two best friends. There are towels waiting for them later, no doubt.
