The Boston Terrier Got the Fluffy Bed. Then Someone Moved In.
Late afternoon sun slips into the living room and lands right on the plushest spot in the house. A black and white Boston Terrier lies on a cream, shaggy dog bed with his front paws crossed, big dark eyes looking off to the side as if he is thinking something over. Pressed against his chest is a pink piglet, her snout tucked low and her tiny ear drooping, fast asleep. A basket of laundry and a leafy houseplant sit quietly in the background.
Boston Terriers are often called the American Gentleman because of their tuxedo markings, and they tend to live up to the name with a friendly, easygoing nature. They enjoy company and usually do best when they are included in family life. A soft, washable bed like this one is a good idea for any small dog, and if a piglet ever shares it, expect some extra laundry. Young pigs are curious and can chew or root at bedding, so keep an eye on loose threads and stuffing. Anything you are unsure about, from diet to the right temperature for a piglet, is worth a quick chat with your vet.
We can call the piglet Pearl. She has chosen the middle of the bed, which is of course the best part, and the Terrier has politely rearranged himself around her. His expression says he is fine with it. Some naps are worth sharing, and this one has all the right ingredients: sunshine, softness, and a very warm neighbor.
