A White Samoyed and a White Cat Curled Up Like Two Snowdrifts
They are so white that they seem to blend into each other. A fluffy white Samoyed has curled up on a woven plaid rug with his thick tail tucked around his body and his face resting on his paws. Right beside his nose, a small white cat lies curled up, sleeping with her ears folded and her paws tucked. A pair of boots, a flower pot, and a gray house wall make up the quiet porch scene around them.
Samoyeds are friendly, fluffy dogs originally bred in Siberia to herd reindeer and pull sleds. They're known for their smiling faces and gentle, social nature. Their thick double coat needs frequent brushing, especially when they shed, and they can get hot in warm weather.
White cats, particularly those with blue eyes, can be prone to hearing problems, and those with pale skin may be more vulnerable to sunburn. If you have a white cat, ask your vet about protecting her ears and nose from the sun, especially if she likes to be outdoors.
The rug is soft, the air is quiet, and these two are fast asleep. Together they look like a pair of snowdrifts. It's easy to imagine that if you came back in an hour, they would still be right there, still curled together, still dreaming the same quiet dream.
