Where Does the Cat End and the Puppy Begin on This Couch?

Where does the cat end and the puppy begin? A glossy black cat has wrapped her whole body around Waffles, with a front leg draped over his back and her face resting against his neck. His tiny golden face peeks out from the middle, eyes closed, ears folded. The couch they have claimed is brown and slouchy, with a blue blanket underneath, and a cushion leans against the wall. Their circle has no gaps in it at all.

Black cats have long been misunderstood in folklore, but they are just as loving and playful as any other cat. Sadly, shelters often report that black animals take longer to be adopted, so it is nice to see a black cat getting her moment in the spotlight. A cat curling around a smaller animal can be a sign of trust, and the shared body warmth helps both stay cozy. If your cat and dog are sleeping together, they are likely comfortable with each other. Keep the sleeping area clean and make sure each has their own space too, just in case someone wants a break.

Waffles and his black cat have found the perfect fit, and it looks like they plan to stay there until dinner. A heap of fur on a couch can be a very good thing. The couch cushions will keep their shape for them, and the blue blanket has become a very good place to be.
