Frost Covered the Window, and a Fluffy Pomeranian Had Company
Frost has drawn feathery ferns across the windowpane, and two small friends sit beside it to watch the snowy world. A cream Pomeranian, round as a dandelion puff, has turned his head to look at Clover, the little brown rabbit sitting up straight on the sill beside him. A cream knit blanket cushions the ledge, and behind them are a half-cluttered shelf, a box of tissues and a potted plant leaning toward the light.
Pomeranians are tiny dogs with big personalities, covered in a thick double coat that gives them a plush look. That coat needs regular brushing, especially when the weather changes, but it should never be shaved down for comfort without talking to a groomer or vet. Even with their fluff, small dogs can get chilly, so a blanket and a warm spot are welcome in winter. Rabbits cope well with cool temperatures but dislike drafts and dampness, so a windowsill should be checked for cold air. Keep both pets supervised and make sure neither is left too close to frozen glass for long.
The Pomeranian looks serious, brows slightly furrowed, like a small professor assessing a new colleague. Clover is quite relaxed, her ears loosely aimed at the glass. Outside, the bare trees and white yard are still. Inside, the two of them share the blanket and a very quiet understanding. Winter mornings do not get much cozier than a window seat with a friend who is happy to just watch the frost.
