Six Kittens Burrowed Into the Quilt Beside a Sleepy Corgi

AI imagecorgikittensquilt

A red and white Corgi lies with his head resting on the folds of a cream patchwork quilt, his warm brown eyes soft and a little sleepy. Curled up against him in the soft folds, six kittens are bundled together, gray tabby, ginger, black-and-white and cream. Their tiny faces are scrunched in sleep or just beginning to wake. A wicker basket of blankets, a houseplant and the edge of a couch glow in the warm light behind them. The whole scene seems wrapped in the stillness of early morning.

Corgis were bred to herd cattle in Wales, and they are smart, active dogs with a lot of energy and a big bark for their size. Many have a gentle side as well, and they enjoy being close to their families. Corgis can be prone to back problems because of their long bodies, so keep them from jumping off high furniture and talk to your vet about healthy weight. Kittens like to snuggle into anything warm, and a dog's body can be inviting, but always supervise, and make sure blankets are clean and not too heavy for little ones.

The Corgi seems to be in no hurry to move. With six warm kittens snuggled beside him, he has a soft, content look, and the quilt seems to be exactly the right size.
