A White Cat and a Bunny Sat Together and Watched the Rain
Rain streaks the old window panes, and on the sill a white cat and a grey and white lop-eared bunny sit shoulder to shoulder, both looking out at the green yard beyond. The cat's ears are perked, her pale fur catching the soft gray light, and the bunny's ear droops against the glass. A small plant and a folded blanket complete the quiet scene. The cat's tail flicks whenever a bird flutters past, and the bunny's whiskers twitch with every drop that slides down the glass.
Rainy days can be a bit dull for indoor pets, but a window perch gives them endless entertainment. Cats love watching birds, raindrops and moving leaves, and a bit of nature on TV can help prevent boredom. A sturdy cushion and a safe, secure window help keep everything comfortable, and a bit of play with toys can burn off extra energy.
Rabbits are more active at dawn and dusk, and many enjoy looking out at the world from a safe place. Make sure the spot is not drafty or cold, and that your rabbit has a chance to move around after sitting. A pet rabbit should never be left on a high window ledge unsupervised.
The rain keeps falling, the room is cozy and the two companions share a quiet, thoughtful moment. Sometimes the best thing to do on a rainy day is nothing at all. A good window is better than a TV. A quiet day, well spent.
