The Wood Stove Was Crackling and Two Friends Were Fast Asleep

Rabbits also overheat easily, so a spot a little farther back is safer. A warm blanket in a cool corner of the room works just as well and avoids the risk.

Even so, the picture feels peaceful. The stove crackles, the lamp shines, and two friends doze in the glow. It is the sort of evening that makes the whole house feel warm.
