A Boxer and a Bunny Watched the Garden Bed Like It Was Television
Two heads rise above the edge of a wooden garden bed like a pair of curious neighbors. A fawn Boxer with a wrinkled brow and soulful brown eyes looks down at the soil, his chin resting on the board. Right next to him, a small brown bunny named Clover tucks herself against the same wooden edge, her ears raised and her nose pointing in the same direction.
The garden is a patchwork of dark earth, tiny green sprouts, pebbles, and fallen leaves. In the background, a few tools and scraps of metal lie scattered, adding a lived-in feeling. Both animals stare with the same careful interest, as if something exciting is about to push through the soil.
Boxers are playful, athletic dogs with a goofy side that often lasts well into adulthood. They are known for being affectionate with their families and need plenty of exercise and attention. Because Boxers can be bouncy, supervise them around smaller animals so that enthusiasm does not turn into accidents. Gardens are fun for pets, but keep an eye out for hazards such as fertilizer, slug bait, and certain plants that can be harmful. If you are unsure, ask your vet which products and plants are safe. A raised bed with a low border can be a good vantage point for curious pets.
Whatever is happening in the dirt, these two will be the first to know. Two curious noses are better than one.
