The Bulldog Gave Up His Favorite Window Seat to Five Ducklings

In a sunny window nook, a brown and white Bulldog sits with his wrinkled face turned to the side, as stern and serious as a bank manager. Bulldogs are calm, sturdy companions who love their naps and their people. Their short noses mean they can struggle in hot or humid weather, so a comfortable, cool room with good airflow is ideal. They are also known for being stubborn in a sweet way, and a Bulldog that has decided to sit somewhere will stay there. Ducklings like a warm, bright spot too, but high ledges aren't safe for babies, so a low, stable surface is much better.

The Bulldog's mournful, droopy expression somehow makes the scene funnier. He seems to be tolerating a very fuzzy committee that has taken over his favorite window seat. It's easy to imagine a long, slow sigh coming from somewhere deep in his chest.

Even so, there's tenderness in how close they sit. He doesn't shove or grumble, he simply makes room, and the ducklings settle in to enjoy the sun.
