A Hairless Sphynx Found the Warmest Spot Between a Boxer's Paws
Between the huge front paws of a brindle Boxer, a small gray Sphynx cat has found the safest place in the world. The cat sleeps with her wrinkled head resting on the dog's leg, ears pointing up like tiny sails. The Boxer looks calmly into the camera with warm brown eyes and a gentle frown. A blanket, a mug, and a cluttered table sit behind them in a cozy living room. A small pile of knitted throws and an empty cup sit nearby, and warm light spills across the floor.
Sphynx cats have little or no fur, so they often seek warmth from blankets, sweaters, and other pets. They also need regular skin care because oils build up on bare skin, and they should stay out of strong sun. Boxers are warm, loyal dogs that often love to cuddle and look after their families. If you have a hairless cat, ask your vet about bathing and skin care, and make sure the home is kept comfortably warm.
It is hard to miss how carefully the Boxer holds his paws. He doesn't squish or shift, and his big chin hovers close, as if on guard. His forehead wrinkles make him look a little worried, but his paws say otherwise.
A big dog and a small bare cat are not the likeliest pair, but they make a wonderful one. Warmth, as it turns out, is a very good reason to be friends. The room is quiet, and the cat sleeps on.
