A Goldendoodle and a Black Maine Coon Lounge on a Gingham Picnic Blanket
A red and white gingham blanket has been spread out on the ground, and the picnic is clearly over. A red Goldendoodle with soft, curly fur lies with his chin flat on the blanket, and a black Maine Coon rests against his shoulder with big yellow eyes and tufted ears. Behind them, potted herbs and a pair of old shoes sit on a patio. A terra cotta pot of herbs and a dusty pair of sneakers sit on the nearby patio.
Maine Coons are large and sociable cats that often enjoy following their people around, and Goldendoodles are known for being friendly with nearly everyone. Black cats are sometimes overlooked in shelters, though they're just as loving and playful as any other color. Picnics with pets are lovely, but remember shade, fresh water, and a short leash if you're in a public park, and keep human snacks like grapes and chocolate out of reach.
The checks and curls give the scene a storybook look. The cat's glossy black fur sits next to the Goldendoodle's warm red, and both seem completely content. The checkered cloth under them is wrinkled and warm from the sun.
Maybe there was a sandwich. Maybe it's all gone. Either way, two friends are lounging in the afternoon like they've earned it. Nobody is in a hurry to fold the blanket and go inside.
