A Pug and a Tuxedo Cat Became One Sleepy Ball on the Couch
On a soft gray couch, a fawn Pug and a black and white tuxedo cat have curled into a single round heap. The Pug's wrinkled face rests on a cream blanket with one eye peeking out, and the cat's face is tucked deep into her own fur, with only a hint of whiskers. A small plant sits on the windowsill above them, and light falls gently across the cushions. The cushions are plump and a bit crumpled, as if they have held many naps.
Cats and dogs often sleep close together when they feel safe, which can be a sign of a strong bond. Sleeping in a curled position helps animals conserve heat and protect their softer areas. Pugs love to cuddle and can sleep a great deal, but they should be kept from getting too warm. A cool room and a lightweight blanket help both pets rest comfortably, and fresh water should always be nearby.
It's hard to tell where the Pug ends and the cat begins. Black patches and white patches blend in with the fawn coat, and they seem to breathe together. Even the Pug's snores, if there are any, would be soft and gentle.
Few things say home like a couch with two sleepers on it. The day is quiet, the cushions are soft, and nobody has anywhere to be. There is simply no better way to spend an afternoon.
