A Boxer Climbed Into the Wagon and Waited for His Bunny Passenger
An old wooden wagon sits in the middle of a grassy yard, and a brindle Boxer has climbed in as though he's waiting for the ride to begin. His tongue hangs out in a happy grin, his blue collar is neat, and his big dark eyes look cheerful. At his side, a small brown bunny sits tucked against the boards with her ears up. A rope trails from the wagon and a wooden fence stands behind them. Warm light falls on the lawn, and a long shadow stretches behind them.
Boxers are famous for their playful, bouncy energy, and many keep a puppy-like spirit well into adulthood. They are affectionate with family and often very good with gentle small animals, but their enthusiasm needs a calm hand around rabbits. Rabbits need quiet, slow introductions and a place to retreat. A wagon can be a fun spot to sit together, as long as it is stable and the rabbit can hop out when she wants.
The Boxer's happy face makes the picture. He's clearly delighted to have company, and the bunny looks quite pleased herself. Old wooden slats and a rope handle give the wagon a lovely worn charm.
Where will the wagon go? Perhaps nowhere, because sitting together is already the adventure. A good friend is the best reason to stay put.
