A Goldendoodle Puppy Falls Asleep on Guard Duty Next to a Pony
A wicker basket full of soft blankets has become a very small, very sleepy nursery. A curly apricot Goldendoodle puppy is curled up in the front with his eyes shut and his nose resting on a knitted blanket. Behind him, a tiny brown pony has tucked his head against the puppy's back, his forelock falling over his face. A stuffed bunny, a slipper and a few toys lie on the wooden floor, and a houseplant and a gray couch fill the background. Everything about the room is hushed.
Goldendoodles often inherit their parents' sociable and gentle nature, and they are usually happy to be with their family at all times. A young Goldendoodle sleeps a great deal as it grows, and a quiet bed in a calm part of the house helps it get the rest it needs. Their curly coats can trap moisture and tangle, so regular brushing is important, along with professional grooming for some dogs. Ponies seek companionship, and they sometimes lean on a friend for comfort, which makes the way this pair settled in so believable.
The puppy seems to be on guard, but he fell asleep while doing it. The pony doesn't mind a bit. The little basket is warm and full, and the afternoon is long. It's a scene made of quiet breaths and soft fur.
