Seven Ducklings Climbed Into the Wheelbarrow, and a Sphynx Cat Was Driving
The wheelbarrow is parked in the workshop, and it has a most unusual cargo. A grey hairless Sphynx cat sits at the back with her big ears and amber eyes focused on the camera, and in front of her seven fluffy yellow ducklings are packed in a tight, golden bunch. A cupboard, a basket, and a few boots complete the cozy clutter. We'll call the cat Ash. The ducklings peep and shuffle, and the wheelbarrow looks like it has never been so full of joy.
Sphynx cats are warm to the touch and love to snuggle, which is one reason ducklings might find them irresistible. They lack a fur coat, so they need extra warmth and often seek out heat sources. They are friendly and curious cats, and they usually enjoy being near people and other animals. Their soft skin also needs gentle care, so a vet can help with skin and sun protection.
If you care for ducklings, remember they need a brooder with a safe heat source, clean bedding, and clean water. They grow quickly, and they should not be kept in a metal container without proper bedding, since it can get cold and slippery. A vet familiar with poultry can offer good advice.
Ash looks like the proud driver of a very small, very yellow bus. The ride is a calm one. The workshop is quiet, and the little passengers look perfectly happy to stay put.
