Something Very Exciting Is Happening Outside, and the Dalmatian Puppy Can't Look Away
Something very exciting is happening outside, and this puppy does not want to miss a second of it. A Dalmatian pup stands with its front paws on the windowsill, nose nearly touching the glass, watching a parade of trick-or-treaters pass by on the sidewalk. Out on the street, a child in a pumpkin costume, a little ghost in a sheet, and a kid in a black cat outfit carry glowing candy buckets under the evening sky. The puppy's white coat is speckled with black spots, one ear is fully black, and its gaze is utterly focused.
Halloween night can be overwhelming for dogs, with doorbells ringing, strangers in masks, and unfamiliar sounds. Many pets do best in a quiet room away from the front door, with a comfy bed, a favorite toy, and maybe some calming background noise. Make sure your dog is wearing ID tags and is microchipped in case the open door leads to an escape. Candy bowls should stay well out of reach, especially anything containing chocolate, raisins, or the sweetener xylitol. A window view like this one can be fun, as long as your pup stays relaxed.
For a young puppy, watching tiny ghosts and pumpkins stroll down the street must be the most fascinating show on earth. Who knows, maybe next year this spotted spectator will be wearing a costume of its own.
