A Gray Kitten Claimed the Top of the Pumpkin Pile

AI imageexotic shorthair kittenhalloweenpumpkin wagon

A round-faced gray kitten sits right on top of a heap of pumpkins in a red wagon. The flat, pouty face, wide copper eyes and plush coat give her the look of a plush toy that wandered off the shelf. Pumpkins and green gourds fill the wagon around her, a pair of boots rests on the ground and a flower pot and brick wall frame the scene behind.

Exotic Shorthair kittens are known for their round heads, short noses and soft, teddy-bear look. They are often calm, gentle and affectionate, and many enjoy sitting near their people. Because of their flat faces, they can have tear stains and sometimes breathing or eye sensitivities, so ask your vet how to care for those features. A gentle daily wipe around the eyes keeps the face clean.

Wagons, boxes and baskets are favorite perches for cats, and it's easy to see why. A raised seat gives a good view and a feeling of safety. If your kitten likes to climb, make sure anything she sits on is stable, with no sharp edges or wobbly bits. Keep kittens away from busy streets and driveways, and supervise any outdoor visit.

She seems to be enjoying her pumpkin throne. The wagon may not be going anywhere, but the queen is comfortable. It is a small, soft reminder that autumn looks better with a cat in it.
