A Bernese Puppy Reached the Hay Maze and Paused at the Opening
A fluffy tricolor Bernese puppy sits at the entrance of a little hay bale maze, looking at something to the side with his head slightly lifted. Straw covers the ground around him, and walls of stacked bales rise behind him with a tunnel disappearing into the shadows. A porch with pumpkins and cornstalks sits in the background. The straw walls are stacked in a neat zigzag, and a watering can and some corn husks sit near the house.
Bernese puppies are large and clumsy, with soft, thick fur and a heart of gold. They are quite intelligent and enjoy training sessions, but they also like to relax near their people. Because they can overheat, shade and fresh water are important on warm autumn days, and your vet can suggest the best way to keep his coat healthy.
Hay bales are great for decorations, but loose straw can irritate a puppy's eyes and nose and can hide small hazards. Keep him from eating it, and brush the pieces out of his coat after play. If the maze is part of a public event, keep him leashed and close to you for his safety.
It is easy to picture him trotting into the maze with great confidence, and then coming out the other side with straw on his ears. A maze like this is a big adventure for someone so small, and he is clearly deciding where to start.
