Storm the Husky Puppy Sat in the Middle of All the Presents
With his blue eyes and upright ears, the grey and white Husky puppy sits proudly among a circle of presents wrapped in brown paper and twine. A lit tree with wooden stars, pinecones, and plaid ornaments rises above him, and sunlight pours through the glass door beside him. A rope toy, a backpack, and a mug sit nearby, and a woven rug lies in front of the gifts.
Siberian Husky puppies are bright, energetic, and playful. They were bred to pull sleds across snowy ground, and that energy usually shows from the early weeks. They need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, and a bored husky can find ways to entertain himself, like digging or chewing. Their thick double coat sheds a lot, so regular brushing helps keep the house tidy.
Presents under the tree can be tempting. Keep any gifts with food or chocolate far out of reach, since a Husky's nose is very good at finding them. Packages tied with ribbon or twine should be supervised, because swallowed string can be dangerous. A puppy with his own toys and chews is less likely to try unwrapping the family's gifts. Your vet can suggest the right amount of exercise for his age.
We'll call him Storm. He's sure that one of those packages has his name on it, and he's waiting very patiently to find out which one.
