A Ragdoll Kitten Watches the Frost Paint Her Window
Frost has drawn lacy white feathers across the windowpane, and a seal point kitten sits on the sill to study them. Her pale cream body, dark ears and blue eyes stand out against the winter light. A wreath of evergreen and pinecones hangs in the glass, heavy with fine frost, and behind her a sofa with grey blankets and a basket of yarn waits for her return.
Ragdolls are a large, gentle breed known for their silky coat, blue eyes and relaxed temperament. Kittens start out nearly white and darken over time, and the breed is famously mellow and people-oriented, with many Ragdolls happy to follow their owners from room to room.
Windowsills are one of a cat's favorite places. They are warm in the sun, offer an interesting view of birds and weather, and let her watch the world from a safe perch. To make a window seat comfy, add a soft blanket and make sure the window is closed or has a secure screen, since a curious kitten can fall. Cold glass can also make a sill chilly in winter, so a cushion helps.
Right now the only action outside is falling snow and drifting frost, but she watches as if the greatest show on earth were about to begin. Perhaps, for a kitten, it is. When she tires of watching, the blankets behind her are ready and waiting.
