A Devon Rex Dove Into the Leaf Pile Ears First

AI imagedevon rexautumn leavespumpkins

Crunch! A grey Devon Rex has dived into a mountain of orange maple leaves, front paws stretched wide, ears huge and alert, and one amber eye locked on its prey. The curly short coat looks velvety against the dry leaves. Small and large pumpkins sit nearby, one with a rough, warty skin, and a house with a dark door waits in the background. The cat's tail trails behind, and a leaf is probably still flying somewhere off-screen.

Devon Rex cats are known for their wavy coats, large ears, and lively, mischievous personalities. They are often described as clownish and people-loving, and they enjoy climbing and interactive play. Their very short, fine coat offers less insulation than most cats have, so they can get cold quickly outdoors in fall, and outdoor time should be short and supervised. Leaf piles are fun to pounce in, but they can hide sharp objects, damp patches, or insects. Check the pile before you let your cat in, and rinse any leaves treated with yard products. A play session with a wand toy is a nice indoor alternative.

Let's call this hunter Pip. He is clearly having the best day of his autumn, and the leaves are rustling in applause. The pumpkins seem to be watching, a little stunned. Nothing beats a perfectly crunchy pile and a cat with a plan.
