A Goldendoodle Wanted to See Outside and the Blinds Joined His Fur
Curly red fur is caught between white blind slats, and strings loop across the chest of a Goldendoodle who stares off to the side with great seriousness. A table lamp glows softly beside him, sunlight streams through the window, and a few clothes and shoes lie on the floor below. The blinds are bent and tangled, and he is trying to carry on as though this was his plan from the start.
Goldendoodles are friendly and clever dogs who love company and attention. Their curly coats can be very soft, but they can also catch on cords, strings, and other items. Window cords are dangerous for dogs and for people, as they can tangle and cause injury, so keep them short and out of reach or choose cordless blinds. If your dog gets tangled, stay calm, free him slowly, and check for injuries, and call your vet if you are worried. Goldendoodles also need regular grooming to prevent mats, so a brush after adventures is a good idea. A comfy window seat can give him a safer view.
He looks away in the hope that the blinds will quietly forgive him. They will probably need replacing, but the dog will be fine. A good view of the yard is a strong reason for any dog to try something bold. Maybe next time he will use the couch.
