A Tuxedo Cat Turned White With Flour and Knows He's in Trouble
Flour covers the tuxedo cat's face like a mask of fresh snow. It dusts his black ears, sticks to his whiskers and trails across the counter in white drifts, while a bag of flour lies tipped beside him. His green eyes look worried, his ears are slightly back and a small sheepish look crosses his face. A bowl and some bits of bread dough sit nearby.
Cats are naturally drawn to anything new and powdery. They may sniff, paw or even jump into it to see what happens. A puff of flour is also fun to bat at, and the light, soft texture feels strange on their paws and whiskers. A tuxedo cat shows every speck of white, which makes this particular crime very easy to solve.
A little flour is usually not dangerous, but it can irritate a cat's nose and lungs if he breathes in a lot of it, and raw dough can cause serious trouble if eaten, because it can swell and ferment in the stomach. If you think your cat has eaten raw dough, call your vet right away. Keep baking supplies in sealed containers and out of paw reach.
The tuxedo is not trying to hide, though. He is standing in the middle of the evidence, looking up with those wide eyes. He seems to know the baking plans are ruined, and he would like to hear that all is forgiven.
