A Sphynx Decorated the Bathroom With Every Sheet of Toilet Paper
Toilet paper streamers hang from the sink, drape over the shower rod, and pool across the bathroom floor, and in the middle of it all stands a gray hairless Sphynx with enormous ears and wide, green-gold eyes. She looks up with her small chin raised, as though about to give a speech. A basket of towels sits in the corner, a toothbrush holder rests on the counter, and the shower curtain hangs behind her. Her wrinkled skin is soft and gray, and bits of white paper curl around her paws.
Cats love toilet paper because it unrolls easily, flutters when batted, and makes a satisfying sound. It is a harmless kind of fun for most cats, though swallowing large pieces can upset their stomachs. If your cat likes to unroll the paper, try a cover for the holder, keep the bathroom door closed, or put out a safe alternative like a crinkly toy or paper bag. Sphynx cats are very energetic and need a lot of play and social time, and they are often drawn to warm bathrooms. If you worry about something she swallowed, call your vet.
She looks as though she has decorated the room on purpose. The streamers hang with great style, and she stands proudly in the middle. It is the sort of party only a cat would throw, and the guest of honor is not at all embarrassed.
