His Majesty the German Shepherd Does Not Need to Raise His Voice
His Majesty does not need to raise his voice. Seated on an ornately carved wooden throne, this sable German Shepherd wears a golden crown set at a perfectly regal angle, a sweeping crimson cape trimmed with spotted white ermine, and a doublet heavy with golden brocade. One paw rests on the arm of the throne as though he's just dismissed an unworthy petitioner. His dark eyes stare out from the gloom with calm, unshakable authority, and the warm light catches every strand of his tan and black fur.
German Shepherds have long been admired for their intelligence, loyalty, and versatility. Developed in Germany in the late nineteenth century as herding dogs, they're now known worldwide as police, search and rescue, and service dogs, as well as devoted family companions. They thrive on structure, training, and having a job to do, and they need plenty of daily exercise to stay happy and well behaved. Their thick double coat sheds year-round, with heavier seasonal shedding, so regular brushing is a must. Like many larger breeds, they can be prone to hip and elbow issues, so choosing a reputable breeder and keeping your dog at a healthy weight are important.
A king this composed would surely rule with fairness and firm paws. Somewhere beyond the edges of the painting, the royal treat jar is undoubtedly under heavy guard.
