A Black Pomeranian Admiral Commands the Fleet in Gold Epaulettes
Admiral Cuthbert is a small ball of black fluff in a very large uniform, and he wears it with total seriousness. The black Pomeranian has a round, soft face, bright dark eyes and tiny pricked ears, and his fur forms a dark cloud above his high collar. His navy coat has rows of gold buttons, braided trim and two large golden epaulettes that nearly reach his ears. The background is a dramatic brown sky that looks like a stormy sea about to break, and the painted surface has the fine cracks of an old naval portrait.
Pomeranians are tiny, fluffy dogs with a bold personality and lots of confidence. They are descended from larger spitz dogs, and they retain that alert, spirited attitude. A Pomeranian's thick double coat needs regular brushing, especially during seasonal shedding, and black Poms can show lint and dust easily. They are intelligent and eager to learn, so training sessions are fun for them, though they can be chatty barkers. Small dogs like Poms may be fragile, so supervise play with bigger dogs and handle them gently. Dental care is especially important in toy breeds, so ask your vet about brushing. A short walk each day and indoor play are usually enough. A Pom is always ready to command the household.
Admiral Cuthbert will lead the fleet with a wag of his tail. No ship has ever had a fluffier captain.
