The Court Musician Is a Sphynx with a Violin and Big Ears

He is tuning up for the royal concert, and the audience is already holding its breath. A grey Sphynx with large upright ears, wrinkled skin and golden eyes looks out with a serious, artistic air. He wears a pink silk coat embroidered with gold, a lace cravat at his neck and a gold epaulette, and his slender paws hold a warm brown violin and bow. The background is a soft blend of pale golds, shells and pink drapery.

The soft folds of his skin pick up the light in lovely ways, and the elegant ears give him the profile of a dramatic maestro. It is hard to look away.

Sphynx cats are not truly hairless, since they have a very fine layer of down, and they are known for being outgoing, affectionate and attention-loving. Without a full coat, they can get cold and may need warm beds, and they can get sunburned, so keep them out of strong direct sun. Their skin can collect oils and needs regular gentle bathing as your vet advises. Sphynx cats are social, so they like company, toys and a person to follow around. Your vet can recommend diet, skin care and checkups.

The concert will start as soon as the maestro is satisfied. In the meantime, a warm lap is also on the program.
