The Court Painter Has Found the Perfect Pink and Won't Tell
The painter has found the perfect pink, and he is not telling anyone how. A ruddy Abyssinian with large, upright ears and green-gold eyes looks over his shoulder with a keen, focused stare, a small pink hat with a feather and a flower perched on his head. His pink silk coat is embroidered with gold and finished with ruffled lace cuffs. In one paw he holds a thin brush, and in the other a wooden palette swirling with cream, pink and gold paint.
His warm, ticked fur looks like a sunset all by itself, and it glows against the pastel wall. The elegant curve of his ears gives him a lively, quick-witted look.
Abyssinians are lean, athletic cats with a ticked coat, which means each hair has bands of color. They are curious, intelligent and very active, and they like climbing, exploring and playing interactive games. They tend to be social with their people and enjoy being involved in what is happening around the house. Provide tall cat trees, puzzle toys and plenty of play, since a bored Abyssinian can become mischievous. A vet can advise on diet, dental care and routine checkups.
The portrait will be a masterpiece. It will probably also include a few paw prints, for authenticity, and a small smudge of pink paint on the tip of one very curious whisker.
