The Corgi Queen Mother Has Seen It All and Smiles Quietly
Pointed ears peek out beneath a veil of black lace, and the queen mother is quite sure she has seen it all. The Corgi has a golden red face with a white blaze, bright dark eyes and a faint, knowing smile. A black lace veil drapes from her head to her shoulders, and a black lace collar with a tiny pearl sits at her throat. Her gown is black silk embroidered with fine floral patterns, and a ruffle of white lace shows at the cuff. Behind her, grey-green drapery fills the background.
The black lace and the warm russet fur make a gentle contrast. Her expression is calm and kind, as though she is about to offer you a biscuit and some very good advice.
Corgis were bred in Wales as herding dogs, so they tend to be smart, energetic and quite bold for their size. They are friendly and often love having a job to do, whether it is learning tricks or herding the family around the house. With their long backs and short legs, they should avoid too much jumping and keep a healthy weight to protect their spine. They do shed quite a lot, so regular brushing helps. Ask your vet about diet and exercise that suits your Corgi.
The queen mother has plenty of wisdom, and it is mostly about the importance of afternoon tea.
