The Maine Coon Musician Tucked the Violin Close and Began to Play
Fluffy black fur forms a thick ruff around the face of this Maine Coon musician, with tufted ears and calm yellow-green eyes. He wears a navy velvet coat embroidered with golden laurel leaves, a gold epaulette on one shoulder, a lace cravat and lace cuffs. In his big black paws he holds a violin with its scroll tilted upward. A stone column and heavy green drapes in the shadowy background suggest a concert hall waiting for the first note, and his dark fur seems to melt into the shadows.
Maine Coons are one of the largest domestic cat breeds, with a shaggy coat, tufted ears and a gentle, sociable nature. They are often called gentle giants and tend to be good with families and other pets. Their long fur benefits from regular brushing to prevent mats, especially on the belly and behind the ears. They take several years to reach full size, so good nutrition and regular vet checkups matter. Many Maine Coons enjoy interactive play and some even like to chirp or trill when they talk to their people.
The musician seems calm and ready, and we imagine his performance is deep, soft and full of purring. Whatever tune he chooses, the audience will gather close and listen. If a note goes wrong, we suspect he will simply blink slowly and pretend it was intended as jazz.
