The Sphynx Explorer Raised His Telescope and Spotted Something
Wrinkles, big ears, and a spirit of adventure make a fine combination. The explorer, a pink hairless Sphynx with golden-green eyes, holds a collapsed brass telescope in one hand and looks out with a determined frown. A dark green coat embroidered with gold leaves sits over a cream waistcoat and a soft white cravat. The pale, cloudy background suggests wide-open sky, as though the next voyage starts in just a few minutes. The little wrinkles on his forehead make him look deeply focused, and his large ears swivel toward every distant sound.
Sphynx cats are not truly hairless; most have a fine, peach-fuzz layer. Without a thick coat, their skin can get oily and needs regular gentle bathing, and they can get cold easily, so cozy blankets and warm spots are important. They are also prone to sunburn if they spend time by sunny windows. Sphynxes are often very affectionate and outgoing, and many love to snuggle under covers with their humans. They are usually active and curious, so climbing spaces and toys help keep them busy. Ask your vet about skin care for your own cat.
The expedition is surely heading for the warmest sunny patch in the house. The telescope will be helpful for spotting treats from across the room. We wish the explorer a safe journey and a quick return to the blanket.
